Portugal players released from international duty, allowed to return to club
Portugal manager Roberto Martinez has reportedly released key Portugal players from international duty after they thrashed Sweden 5-2 in a friendly last night.
The players released are Toti Gomes (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Rafael Leão (AC Milan), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Rúben Dias (Manchester City), João Palhinha (Fulham), Nélson Semedo (Wolverhampton), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) and Gonçalo Ramos (SL Benfica).
Portugal has another match to play in this international break, but Martinez has made it clear that the above-mentioned players will not feature in that game, so they are free to return to their respective clubs.
