Fireboy dazzles fans at royal albert hall, kicks off ‘Adedamola’ album tour

Award-winning Afrobeats star Fireboy lit up the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on April 16, 2025, as he delivered an electrifying performance that marked the start of his international tour for his fourth studio album, Adedamola.

The sold-out concert featured Fireboy performing a medley of his chart-topping hits alongside new songs from Adedamola, much to the delight of his fans. Opening acts Fola and Ayo Maff two fast-rising Afrobeats talents warmed up the crowd, setting the tone for what became a landmark evening for African music in London.

The event also saw Fireboy honored with a commemorative plaque, officially recognizing him as one of the distinguished artists to have headlined the Royal Albert Hall a list that includes global icons like Wizkid, Adele, Rihanna, Elton John, and Frank Sinatra.

Fireboy’s latest album, Adedamola, features musical legends such as Grammy-nominated Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti and Nigerian saxophonist Lagbaja, blending rich heritage with contemporary Afrobeats flair.

Since his 2019 breakout with Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps, Fireboy has continued to rise, achieving global success with hits like Peru. The remix, featuring British Grammy-winner Ed Sheeran, catapulted him to international stardom and became one of the most streamed Afrobeats songs worldwide.

In 2022, Fireboy made history as the first Afrobeats artist to perform at the BET Awards main stage and later joined Sheeran at Wembley Stadium becoming the first from the genre to perform at the iconic 80,000-capacity venue.

With his Royal Albert Hall debut, Fireboy not only launches a promising tour but further solidifies his place among Afrobeats royalty and global music legends.
