Carlo Ancelotti should succeed Erik Ten Hag as Man United manager – Sam Allardyce
Former Premier League manager, Sam Allardyce has mentioned who he thinks should take over the managerial role at Manchester United if Erik Ten Hag is dismissed.
After a lackluster season, Ten Hag’s future at Manchester United is in serious doubt.
Despite having an FA Cup final on the horizon, the club finished eighth in the Premier League, marking their lowest-ever finish.
This disappointing campaign has led to speculation that Ten Hag may not remain at Old Trafford next season.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand also believes that Ten Hag’s tenure could be coming to an end.
Speaking on the No Tippy Tippy Football podcast, Allardyce suggested that Carlo Ancelotti would be the ideal replacement for Ten Hag.
Allardyce praised Ancelotti’s managerial record, comparing him favorably to Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, stating, “He would [go to Manchester United]. He went to Everton! He’s the most successful manager, he’s far more successful than Pep.”
