Sotiyo appointed as Osun NSCDC Commandant
On Thursday, October 31, the Osun State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) welcomed its new Commandant, Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel.
His appointment was approved by Dr. Ahmed Abubakar, the Commandant General of the NSCDC.
Commandant Sotiyo takes over from Dr. Adaralewa Michael, who has been promoted to Assistant Commandant General (ACG).
According to a statement from Adeleke Kehinde, the spokesperson for Osun NSCDC, “Commandant Sotiyo hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State.”
The statement also highlighted that Commandant Sotiyo has participated in many training programs both in Nigeria and abroad, making him an expert in security and leadership.
