The new satellite TV that was launched last week with the backing of the Federal Government. Here are the key things to know about SLTV:
SLTV is a home satellite TV platform operated by Metrodigital Limited.
Dr. Ifeanyi Nwafor, the Managing Director of SLTV, said it was interested in Nigeria because “the Nigerian government has shown strong commitment to taking down the monopoly that had impeded the growth of pay TV in Nigeria.”
Package:
SLTV has a programming mix of 55 channels. The pricing starts at N2,500 for the basic plan and N5,000 for the gold plan.
Programmes:
SLTV has different categories of programmes, such as entertainment, movies, kids’ fun, and sports.
The Federal Government on Thursday, March 14, launched SLTV, promising that it would be worth Nigerians’ money.
Speaking at the unveiling George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated that its establishment aligns with the aspirations of Nigerians to “benefit from the abundant opportunities awaiting investors in the Nigerian economy.”
“SLTV has responded very loudly and clearly, and from the information made available to me, they are willing to give their fellow compatriots real value for their money regarding service quality and affordability.
“Nigeria is an opportunity that is impossible to replicate or find elsewhere. The Federal Government wishes to assure the management of her full backing as they continue to do legitimate business in Nigeria’s broadcast industry,” Akume said.
