Fidelis Ilechukwu calls Enyimba the best team in Nigeria ahead of Oriental derby
On Monday, December 2, Rangers’ technical adviser, Fidelis Ilechukwu, hailed Enyimba as the best team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) ahead of their much-anticipated Oriental derby clash.
The Flying Antelopes are set to face off against Enyimba in a Matchday 15 fixture in Aba on Tuesday, December 3. Ilechukwu, who is confident in his team’s preparation, acknowledged the challenge ahead but expressed optimism for the encounter.
“Big game accepted, important game against Enyimba on Tuesday, the best team in Nigeria,” Ilechukwu told 54footballx. “We are prepared for the game, it’s just football—three things will happen: win, lose, or draw.”
While recognizing Enyimba’s strong form and their continental commitments, Ilechukwu emphasized that his focus remains on his team’s approach. “We don’t know what will happen because Enyimba is in top-class shape, but we’re not bothered about that. We will just play our game.”
