FC Barcelona replaces Thiago Alcantara with Arnau Blanco as assistant coach
Barcelona has announced a change in its coaching staff, replacing Thiago Alcántara with Arnau Blanco as assistant coach.
The club had recently appointed Alcántara to assist manager Hansi Flick. However, Barcelona revealed on Friday, August 16, that Blanco, who previously served as a coach for Barcelona’s U16A team, will now join Flick’s coaching staff.
In a statement on their official website, Barcelona stated, “Arnau Blanco joins Hansi Flick’s coaching team in place of Thiago Alcántara, who concludes his time with the squad today.”
Blanco, who has been part of Barcelona’s youth system for the past 11 seasons, will now contribute to the senior team’s development.
