Eid-el-Kabir: Live peacefully, have patience with the government – Taraba leaders

Taraba State leaders have begged Nigerians to be patient with the current administration as it navigates through the various issues facing the country.

While encouraging the Muslim Ummah to be tolerant, they called on the government to promote initiatives that would guarantee peaceful and harmonious coexistence.

The Deputy Governor, Aminu Alkali, speaking after observing Eid prayers, said, “Peace is a panacea to living comfortably. That is why, in the spirit of Sallah, I urge everyone to live peacefully with one another.”

Former member representing Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Garba Chede, said, “We all need to be patient because this present government under Bola Tinubu has inherited many problems.

“I believe with patience, things are going to be fine at the end of the day.

“By then, we will all be able to go to our farms without fear and all our businesses will thrive.”

The Chief of Kaigama Kam, HRH Maigandi Kaigama, appealed to the government to ensure a downward review of diesel prices to assist farmers.

According to him, “The majority of us here are farmers, and most of the challenges confronting us can be traced to the high cost of diesel.

“In the spirit of Sallah, we are appealing to the federal government to facilitate a downward review of the price of diesel.

“If this is done, the farmers will be happy, and Nigerians will also be happy when the prices of food items drop.

“As Nigerians, we should also be united. With oneness and unity we will be able to confront all these challenges.”
