CAF Awards 2024: Ademola Lookman makes final shortlist for Men’s Player of the Year
On Monday, November 18, 2024, Ademola Lookman was named among the final five nominees for the prestigious CAF Men’s Player of the Year award. The Nigerian forward has earned a spot on the shortlist, following a standout year of performances for both club and country.
The other finalists for the coveted award are Simon Adingra, Achraf Hakimi, Rowen Williams, and Serhou Guirassy.
Lookman, who plays for Atalanta in Serie A, has been instrumental in his team’s successes and has also made notable contributions for the Super Eagles in international competitions.
In addition to Lookman’s nomination, his international teammate Stanley Nwabali has also made it to the final shortlist for CAF Goalkeeper of the Year. The Super Eagles are in the running for National Team of the Year, marking a significant year for Nigerian football.
The 2024 CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Morocco next month, where the winners will be announced. Lookman and his fellow nominees will hope to take home Africa’s top individual footballing honors.
