Shallipopi clarifies he doesn’t smoke, uses cigarettes for aesthetic appeal

Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, better known as Shallipopi, has addressed speculation about his smoking habits, claiming that he does not smoke, despite often being seen with cigarettes in his photos and videos. In a recent interview with Soundcity, the ‘Oba Pluto’ singer clarified that the cigarettes are used for aesthetic purposes rather than being a reflection of his personal lifestyle.

“One thing that my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t smoke. It’s just aesthetics,” Shallipopi explained, offering a new perspective on his public image.

Shallipopi also opened up about what inspires his music, revealing that it is driven by the hardships he has faced in Nigeria. “What influences me to do music is hardship. You don’t want to go through hardship in this country,” he said, underscoring how difficult circumstances have shaped his career.

The singer’s clarification about his smoking habits and the motivation behind his music provides fans with a deeper understanding of the man behind the music.
