Protest is needed now like in 2014 when your Daddy protested – VeryDarkMan slams Tinubu’s daughter, Folashade

Social media critic and influencer, Vincent Martin Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan or VDM, has responded sharply to Folashade Tinubu, the daughter of President Bola Tinubu, following her comments urging patience with her father’s administration.

Folashade had recently advised Nigerians to give her father three years in office before evaluating his performance and discouraged participation in the upcoming hunger protest scheduled for August 1 to 10.

In a video released on Monday, July 29, VDM criticized Folashade’s remarks, accusing her of ignoring the severe economic difficulties Nigerians are facing under Tinubu’s leadership. He pointed out the administration’s first year has been marked by economic struggles and rising fuel prices.

“Did you realize that people wouldn’t be complaining if your father’s first year in office wasn’t the worst in Nigeria’s presidential history?” VeryDarkMan asked.

He urged Folashade to convince her father to address the economic issues and not exacerbate the situation. He also referenced Tinubu’s previous opposition to fuel price hikes under former President Goodluck Jonathan, suggesting that similar protests are needed now due to the current government’s policies.

While condemning any potential violence associated with the protests, VeryDarkMan stressed the importance of advocating for economic rights. “Warn your father, tell him Nigerians are suffering. Talk to Daddy for us. Did you warn your dad when he protested against Goodluck Jonathan’s fuel price increase? The only thing I won’t support is violence. Protest, but don’t loot,” he said, noting the current high fuel prices and shortages.
