Priscilla Ojo addresses backlash over father’s absence at wedding ceremony
On Monday, February 10, 2025, Priscilla Ojo, daughter of the popular Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, responded to criticism following the absence of her father, Ademidun Ojo, at her wedding ceremony.
Priscilla recently married her fiancé, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, in an intimate Islamic wedding ceremony held in Tanzania on Friday. While the event was celebrated by many, her father’s absence quickly became a topic of public debate, with some suggesting that the absence pointed to a strained relationship between Priscilla and her father.
The absence fueled rumors about a possible rift between Ademidun Ojo and his ex-wife, Iyabo Ojo. In response to the backlash, Priscilla took to her Snapchat on Sunday evening to address the issue. She shared a screenshot of a video call with her father, showing that there was no ill will between them.
It’s worth noting that in 2023, Iyabo Ojo revealed in an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa that her marriage to Ademidun was her first experience with poverty.
