Manchester City wallops Luton, reclaim top spot
Manchester City cruised to victory against Luton Town as they whipped the newly promoted side 5-1 at the Etihad on Saturday, April 13.
The current league leaders rested key midfielder Rodri, but started Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne, though both players were taken off in the 81st minute.
Man City opened the scoring through a Daiki Hashioka own goal in the second minute of the game. The lead was doubled by Mateo Kovacic in the 64th minute.
Haaland converted a penalty in the 76th minute when Jeremy Doku was fouled in the penalty area.
Luton pulled one back in the 81st minute when Ross Barkley struck true, but there was to be no comeback for the relegation battlers.

This resounding victory puts the Cityzens top of the table, though Arsenal and Liverpool play later on Sunday, April 14.
