Governor Soludo urges investors to capatilize on Anambra’s economic potential
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has urged investors to prioritize Anambra State for their business ventures, citing improved security and vast opportunities as key incentives.
Speaking at the Anambra 2024 Economic Summit held on Thursday at the International Conference Centre in Awka, Soludo emphasized the state’s readiness for investment. “We are investing heavily in security. In the coming weeks and months, Anambra will become one of the safest places to do business,” he assured.
The governor encouraged attendees to consider Anambra as a business destination not out of charity but as a strategic move. “We are asking people to invest in Anambra not to do us a favour. We are asking people to invest in Anambra in their self-interest,” he said.
Soludo reiterated his commitment to transforming the state, promising to shift Anambra from being a “departure land” to a “destination.” He also recalled his pledge during his 2021 inauguration to create a state where he would choose to live after leaving office.
The summit, which builds on the success of last year’s inaugural event, showcased projects that have advanced from conceptual stages to bankable opportunities. It aims to attract investments to accelerate Anambra’s development initiatives.
With investments already flowing in, the governor’s address reinforced Anambra’s growing reputation as a secure and business-friendly environment, poised to become a hub for economic growth.
