APGA announces readiness for alliance with fellow progressives ahead of 2027 elections
On Monday, December 9, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) declared its readiness to form alliances with other progressive political forces to help build a Nigeria that citizens can be proud of.
Sly Ezeokenwa, the National Chairman of APGA, made this announcement during a briefing with journalists in Abuja, expressing sentiments shared by the party’s National Leader and Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo.
Ezeokenwa emphasized that APGA, having resolved its internal leadership dispute following a Supreme Court ruling that affirmed his chairmanship, is now in a strong position to make a significant impact in the nation’s political arena. He noted, “APGA proudly has elected representatives within and outside the South East. We are ready and willing to work with all other progressives to build Nigeria because we believe in our country.”
As part of their efforts toward reconciliation, Ezeokenwa shared that the party has granted amnesty to members who are genuinely remorseful, regardless of which side they supported during the internal crisis.
He also praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu as a minister, calling it a recognition of APGA’s contributions to the nation’s growth. Ezeokenwa further expressed appreciation for Governor Soludo’s leadership, highlighting his policies and programs as an example of how effective leadership can positively impact society.
According to Ezeokenwa, APGA is committed to contributing to the nation’s progress and fostering collaborations with other like-minded political groups as the 2027 elections approach.
