2027: Coalition can’t unseat Tinubu, says Ganduje

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has predicted that ongoing coalition talks to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 would fail.

Mr Ganduje stated this when he led members of the National Working Committee, NWC, to pay a post-Sallah visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna State.

He noted that the ruling party is not threatened by the coalition being championed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai.

“We are not worried at all. This is just history trying to repeat itself. They went on a joint venture which will not work because from what we have seen, there are just some particles that cannot come together. “It is a game, and we will not reveal our technicalities on how to handle it, but we assure you, we are equal to the task,” he said.

According to him, the party is not only working hard to retain power in 2027 but also to increase the number of governors elected on its platform.

He said the APC is “still the strongest party in West Africa”.

“We are eyeing other states that will come into our fold. Either the governors themselves will come, or we go for election and defeat them to increase our tally.

“We are comfortable, but we are not resting. We shall continue,” he added.
