West Brom and Watford target Kelechi Iheanacho for January loan move
On Thursday, December 5, reports emerged that Premier League clubs West Bromwich Albion and Watford are keen on signing Kelechi Iheanacho on loan during the upcoming January transfer window.
Iheanacho, who joined La Liga’s Sevilla on a free transfer in the summer after leaving Leicester City, has struggled to make an impact at the Spanish club. Despite making seven league appearances, the 28-year-old forward has failed to score a goal for Sevilla under coach Garcia Pimienta.
However, Iheanacho did find the net twice in Sevilla’s Copa del Rey victory over Las Rozas last month, offering a glimpse of his potential.
Both West Brom and Watford are closely monitoring the situation, with sources from El Sevillista suggesting that they could make a move for the Nigerian striker should he remain on the fringes of the Sevilla squad come January.
