Former Arsenal midfielder, Julio Baptista has named Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior as the best player in the world at the moment.
Baptista also said the Brazil international deserved to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or ahead of his teammate Jude Bellingham.
“Ballon d’Or? It’s between Vinícius and Bellingham, and I would give it to Vinícius for being the difference in big matches,” Baptista was quoted by Madrid Zone as saying.
He added, “Vinicius has decided many matches and is always there in the big moments. I think he is the best player in world football at the moment.”
Vinicius was exceptional for Real Madrid last season as he helped Los Blancos win both the La Liga and Champions League.
