Gospel singer Steve Crown weds Ruth Thomas in emotional ceremony

Nigerian gospel artist Steve Crown has married his partner, Ruth Thomas, in a heartfelt ceremony held on Saturday in Abuja, drawing widespread reactions across social media.
A video shared by fellow gospel singers Joe Praize and Neon Adeojo captured a touching moment during the wedding when Ruth, dressed in a stunning white gown, knelt before Crown while taking her vows. Her act of reverence sparked mixed reactions online, with many praising the gesture as a symbol of love, humility, and respect.
In her vows, Ruth promised unwavering support, unconditional love, and a lifelong commitment. “I will be your heaven of peace and source of unwavering support… I choose you every day, and honour our sacred bond,” she declared emotionally. Following the ceremony, Steve Crown expressed gratitude to God for blessing him with a woman “after His own heart.”
The couple had earlier celebrated their traditional wedding on April 18, where Ruth described Steve as “the love of my life” and praised his constant encouragement and support.
Steve Crown, widely known for his gospel hit “You Are Great,” first announced his engagement on March 23, sharing a video of the proposal where he tenderly crowned Ruth’s head. Although he initially kept her identity private, it was later revealed that Ruth Thomas, a realtor, had captured his heart.
The union has drawn congratulatory messages from several gospel artists, including Judikay, Moses Bliss, Okopi Peterson, Joe Praize, Kaestrings, and Eben. Their wedding follows closely after another celebrity wedding that garnered media attention, that of influencer Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
Despite the differing opinions online, the majority of fans have celebrated the love story of Steve Crown and Ruth Thomas, wishing them a blissful journey ahead.
