Power Rangers actor Hector David Jr. jailed for assaulting elderly man

On Wednesday, January 10, 2025, actor Hector David Jr., best known for his role in Power Rangers, was sentenced to jail for assaulting an elderly man in July 2024. David was handed a 180-day prison sentence, but Judge Matthew B. Schelstrate suspended 135 days of the sentence after the actor pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery.

The assault occurred in a parking lot in Nampa, Idaho, when David became involved in a confrontation with an elderly man over a parking spot. The situation quickly escalated, and David shoved the man, who was using a walker, to the ground before fleeing the scene in his truck.

Following the incident, an arrest warrant was issued, and David was charged with battery. As part of his sentence, the court ordered David to serve 45 days in custody, contingent upon maintaining a clean behavioral record during his incarceration. If he fails to do so, he could face the full 180-day sentence.

Additionally, the court mandated David to complete 100 hours of community service and imposed two years of supervised probation following his release. This incident has drawn attention to the actor’s actions, marking a stark departure from his public image.
