“Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend, and a father. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again.”

Cole also pleaded for privacy and respect, expressing concern for their young son’s future exposure to media coverage of Payne’s death, urging the public to show dignity in their reporting.

Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, also shared an emotional tribute, describing him as her “angel” and expressing her deep love for him:
