Luis Enrique warns PSG not to underestimate Arsenal ahead of Champions League second leg

On Tuesday, April 29, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager Luis Enrique cautioned that Arsenal have “nothing to lose” ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg next week, despite his team’s 1-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

The only goal of the match came from Ousmane Dembélé, helping PSG secure an important away win in the first leg.

PSG, who had already triumphed over Manchester City in the group stage and eliminated Liverpool in the Round of 16 via penalties, had their eyes on securing a place in the final after a solid performance at Arsenal.

Enrique shared his thoughts after the match: “There was an incredible atmosphere inside the stadium—it was deafening—but we got off to a wonderful start, and the early goal gave us a boost of confidence.”

He added, “It is mission accomplished for this evening. But our objective is to win the second leg at home.”

Despite their advantage, Enrique warned, “With Arsenal, we cannot let our guard down or be complacent because they can score quickly, and we are back to square one.”

He emphasized that PSG still needs to secure victory in the second leg: “Nothing is in the bag. We need to win when we are at home because Arsenal now have nothing to lose.”
