Chelsea considering move from Stamford Bridge to Earls Court

Chelsea Football Club is exploring the possibility of relocating from Stamford Bridge to a new site at Earls Court, according to reports from the UK Guardian.

The club’s new owners are focused on expanding the stadium’s capacity, which currently holds 42,000 spectators. Their goal is to build one of the largest and most impressive stadiums in the country to boost revenues.

Before any move can happen, Chelsea must negotiate with Chelsea Pitch Owners, who hold the freehold of Stamford Bridge and could potentially block the relocation plans.

An alternative being considered is a stand-by-stand rebuild of the existing stadium. This option could require Chelsea to play at a temporary venue, such as Wembley Stadium, for several years while Stamford Bridge is being demolished and reconstructed.
