Celta Vigo targets Nigerian striker Josh Maja for January transfer
Spanish club Celta Vigo is reportedly eyeing a move for Nigerian striker Josh Maja, with plans to bring him to the club during the upcoming January transfer window.
According to Spanish news outlet Super Deporte, Celta Vigo has identified the West Bromwich Albion forward as a key target to bolster their attacking options. Maja has been in impressive form this season, scoring nine goals and providing one assist in 15 league appearances for West Brom.
The Championship club has reportedly set an asking price of €20 million for the 24-year-old striker. Celta Vigo is looking to secure Maja’s services as a potential replacement for veteran forward Iago Aspas, whose contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
With Aspas approaching the end of his time at the club, Celta Vigo is eager to bring in fresh attacking talent, and Maja could be the ideal candidate to lead their frontline.
