Bayern Director doesn't rule out Jose Mourinho appointment

FC Bayern Munich Director Max Eberl has given a cheeky response to being asked whether Jose Mourinho would be on the list of “crazy ideas” for potential appointees to the soon-to-be-vacant manager role at the club.

Eberl answered “Of course we’re also looking into coaches who are currently available. Jose learning German? I don’t know!” to BILD, a German tabloid newspaper.

Mourinho has been unemployed since January 16 when AS Roma announced that they were parting ways with the Portuguese manager with immediate effect.

This explains why the former Chelsea, Real Madrid, and FC Porto manager is also in contention for the managerial role at the biggest club in Germany.

Bayern Munich has seen many legendary managers in its dugout in the past 15 years, including four-time UEFA Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti and two-time European treble winner Pep Guardiola.

It seems the club needs Mourinho to complete the set. The Portuguese manager is a two-time Champions League winner, and the only manager to have won a treble in Italy, a feat he achieved with Inter Milan in 2010.
