Ayra Starr condemns murder of FUNAAB student, calls for justice
Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has condemned the brutal murder of Christianah Idowu, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), urging for justice for the victim.
Idowu was allegedly murdered by Ayomide Adeleye, a friend and suspected serial killer.
On Thursday, September 5, Ayra Starr took to her official X page to condemn the heinous act and demand immediate justice. She highlighted the urgent need to address violence against women, stressing that they deserve better protection and respect.
She wrote, “Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah.”
Starr’s call for justice follows recent revelations from an ongoing investigation, which has uncovered that Adeleye, who was close to Idowu, kidnapped, murdered, and buried her body on his property.
It has also emerged that Adeleye was previously linked to the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and biological sister in separate incidents in 2018 and 2020.
