AS Monaco interested in signing Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, it was reported that Ligue 1 club AS Monaco are showing strong interest in signing Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi on loan. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the news, noting that Monaco are also keen to include a buy option in the deal.

“AS Monaco consider Wilfried Ndidi one of the main options on their list for the final days, but loan move with buy option clause is not easy at all,” Romano posted on X.

Romano also highlighted the current challenge in negotiations, saying, “Ndidi has a buyout clause but Leicester are not opening doors to loan yet, at this stage.”

The 27-year-old Nigerian international, who signed a new three-year contract with Leicester City last summer, is currently recovering from an injury. Despite this, Ndidi has contributed four assists in 15 Premier League appearances for the Foxes so far this season.
