APC, PDP have failed Nigeria – NNPP chair Odeyemi
Tosin Odeyemi, the Osun State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has criticized both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for failing the country.
In a statement issued in Osogbo on Wednesday, August 21, Odeyemi argued that Nigeria has seen the best these two major parties have to offer, and it’s time to explore new leadership to address the country’s current challenges.
He emphasized that a new political approach is needed and suggested that the ongoing economic difficulties could have been avoided if past leaders had been more honest and courageous in tackling the issues at hand.
“As the 2027 election period approaches, Nigerians should consider electing credible leaders who can make bold, transformative decisions without fear or favor,” Odeyemi said. “We have tried both the PDP and the APC. We’ve seen their best, which has brought us to this state of widespread hunger and hardship.”
