Woman arrested for fatally stabbing man during altercation in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old woman, Modinat Saka, for allegedly stabbing and killing a 40-year-old man, Ganiu Abdullahi, during a domestic dispute in the Agbado area of the state.
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Ifelodun Street, Agbado, following a disagreement between Saka and Abdullahi, who was reportedly her tenant.
What began as a verbal exchange reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation inside the victim’s room. During the altercation, Abdullahi allegedly attacked Saka with a piece of broken glass, causing injuries to her hand. In retaliation, Saka reportedly stabbed him in the chest with a broken bottle.
Abdullahi was confirmed dead at the scene as a result of the injury.
Police officers arrived shortly after the incident, cordoning off the area, collecting forensic evidence, and documenting the scene. The victim’s body was later taken to Life Channel Morgue on Olambe Alausa Road for autopsy.
Saka is currently in police custody and is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Abeokuta for further investigation and potential prosecution
