Shettima begs Nigerians to shun protests, says Tinubu is doing his best

Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged Nigerians to shun the planned nationwide protests scheduled for August 1, emphasizing the need for unity and focused development. He spoke at a wedding ceremony in Maiduguri, Borno State, where he was the Special Guest of Honour.

Shettima stated that protests have never solved a nation’s challenges but rather led to destruction of lives and properties. He appealed to youths not to follow the path of anarchy and destruction, assuring that President Tinubu feels the pulse of the nation and is committed to addressing inherited challenges.

He also commended Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, for his efforts in addressing developmental deficits and bringing succour to the downtrodden. Shettima cautioned against dancing to the tune of “bandits and idiots” fomenting mischief from abroad, citing examples of Sudan, Syria, and Libya.

The Vice President assured that the Tinubu administration will prioritize the welfare and lives of Nigerians, leaving no stone unturned to improve their lives drastically. He wished the new couples a blissful married life, praying for peace, marital bliss, and offspring that will be a blessing to their families.
