Rio Ferdinand names managers who prefer Arsenal
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has claimed that only three specific managers would choose to manage Arsenal over Manchester United. He made these comments while warning Gunners fans who are currently calling for the sacking of Mikel Arteta.
Ferdinand advised the North London supporters to be careful about what they wish for regarding their managerial leadership. He argued that the current stability under Arteta is a significant improvement over the club’s situation before his arrival.
Ferdinand warns fans about managerial changes
The retired defender noted that under Arteta, Arsenal consistently qualifies for the UEFA Champions League (UCL). He reminded fans that the team now finishes near the top of the table and fights for the Premier League title annually.
“You think the grass is greener over there with another manager?” Ferdinand questioned during a broadcast on his YouTube channel. He specifically dismissed rumors about Luis Enrique, stating that no manager would leave a top world team for the Gunners right now.
Only club legends would reject United for Arsenal
Ferdinand insisted that Manchester United still holds a superior pull for the world’s best coaching talents compared to their London rivals. He named only three former players who he believes would prioritize Arsenal due to their deep personal ties.
According to Ferdinand, only Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, or Cesc Fabregas would choose the Emirates Stadium over Old Trafford. He suggested that any other elite manager would see the Red Devils as the more attractive destination.
