Protest: Ganduje points finger at Kano government for violent protests
Former Kano State Governor and current All Progressive Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has leveled serious accusations against the incumbent Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf. Ganduje claims that Yusuf is responsible for the recent violent protests that rocked the state.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje alleged that the Kano government orchestrated the unrest to discredit the Federal Government (FG) and undermine the efforts of President Bola Tinubu.
The APC chieftain further asserted that credible intelligence indicates direct involvement of the state government in the planning and execution of the violent protests.
Ganduje’s claims directly contradict the Kano State government’s previous assertion that the APC was behind the disturbances. The former governor has called on FG to investigate the matter and hold Governor Yusuf accountable for the violence.
The political tension between the two parties continues to escalate, with each side accusing the other of instigating unrest in the state.
