Manchester United are reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.
According to reports, discussions between the clubs and the player are progressing well, with all parties keen to complete the transfer as soon as possible.
Tielemans, 29, featured for Belgium at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Spain.
The midfielder is now expected to join Ruben Amorim’s squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
United turned their attention to Tielemans after deciding not to proceed with a move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
Reports claimed the Red Devils were not satisfied with the outcome of Ederson’s medical assessment and chose to end their interest in the Brazilian.
If the deal is completed, Tielemans will add further experience and depth to Manchester United’s midfield ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
