Jamal Musiala's contract extension is a "big goal" - Bayern
FC Bayern Sporting Director Max Eberl has stated that renewing the contract of superb young prospects at the club is a big goal of his, especially world-class talent Jamal Musiala, BILD reports.
Musiala joined the club in 2020 as a youth player and signed an extension in 2021 that is meant to keep him at the club till 2026. FC Bayern now wants to sign him to a new contract, one that will likely keep him at the Bavarian club for longer, but also on improved terms.
“Jamal Musiala’s contract extension is a big goal for the club, it’s crucial”.
“There can be no other option for us”.
“We want young top players like Musiala, (Mathys) Tel, (Aleksandar) Pavlovic and the others. But also experienced players are needed,” Eberl told BILD
Musiala was been excellent for the Bundesliga giants, reaching double digits in goals and assists for the club last season.
Last season, the youngster netted 12 times and assisted 10 others, even scoring the winning goal against Mainz 05 on the last day to win Bayern the league as it was in a tight title race that went to the wire, needing to win its last game of the season to clinch the title.
This season, Musiala has already netted 10 times and provided six assists.
Bayern is aware that other European giants have eyes and they would be very much interested in what the youngster is showing in top European stages, hence they want to tie him down to a new contract while they still can.
