I want to stay at Real Madrid - Joselu

Real Madrid loanee striker Joselu, has told ABC News that he wants to stay at the club permanently after his loan expires.

The 33-year-old striker arrived on loan at Los Blancos from Spanish club Espanyol at the beginning of the current season.

“I hope to stay at Real Madrid on [a] permanent deal and no longer on loan,” Joselu said

His wishes are easy to make into reality, as there is a €1.5 million buy option in his contract with Real Madrid.

The power is now in the hands of Florentino Perez, Madrid’s President, as the clause can only be triggered if the Spanish giant wants it to be.

Joselu has not been a starter this season, but he doesn’t seem to mind, as he is satisfied with the role he has played so far for the 14-time Champions League winners.

Joselu has started 10 out of the 27 league games he has featured for Madrid this season, scoring eight goals and registering two assists.
