Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala has revealed that Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger is the toughest player he has faced so far.
Both Musiala and Rudiger are teammates on the Germany national team and have faced off in the UEFA Champions League when Bayern Munich clashed with Real Madrid.
Speaking to The Athletic while recovering from an ankle injury sustained against Paris Saint-Germain during the Club World Cup, Musiala said:
“Antonio Rüdiger. We played against Real Madrid in the Champions League, and that was quite tough. I have known him for quite a few years. And, yeah, it’s not nice playing against him.”
Rudiger has been impressive since his transfer to Real Madrid from Chelsea. However, he was unable to prevent Xabi Alonso’s side from being knocked out of the Club World Cup recently by PSG.
