Hilda Baci to cook world’s biggest jollof pot with 250 bags of rice

New world record attempt coming up

Former Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci is gearing up to break a new record by cooking the largest jollof pot ever. She revealed her plan in a viral Instagram video on Monday.

Massive pot, massive project

Hilda will use a giant pot holding 22,619 litres — measuring 6 meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and 1.3 meters deep — to cook 250 bags of basmati rice. She joked about the pot’s size, saying, “I’m sure the pot is not going to sink.”

Feeding 10,000 people

The event is scheduled for September 12, 2025, and aims to feed 10,000 people with this giant jollof feast. This follows her previous world record where she cooked continuously for over 93 hours.
