Fox Sports pundits Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have compared France winger Michael Olise to NFL great Tom Brady following his impressive display in France’s 2-0 victory over Morocco in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The former football stars made the remarks while analysing France’s performance after Thursday’s win at Boston Stadium.
Henry singled out Olise’s vision and passing ability, particularly the assist that helped France secure the victory.
“I want to talk about the pass of Michael Olise,” Henry said. “As soon as you get the ball, it’s over.
“We are here in Foxborough… Tom Brady, that is one of your loop passes in between. This team is very good.”
Ibrahimovic echoed Henry’s praise, describing the Crystal Palace winger as France’s version of the legendary American football quarterback.
“He did amazing again,” Ibrahimovic said. “He was the point guard. The Tom Brady of France today.”
Tom Brady is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NFL history, having spent 23 seasons as a quarterback and winning seven Super Bowl titles.
Although Olise is yet to score for France at the ongoing World Cup, he has emerged as one of the tournament’s standout creators, registering five assists to help Les Bleus reach the semi-finals.
