Germany scores seven seconds into game, brushes France aside

France lost 0-2 in their friendly against Germany on Saturday, March 23.

The France team had football icon and captain Kylian Mbappe, as well as FC Barcelona’s Jules Kounde, Read Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni and FC Bayern’s Lucas Hernandez and Dayot Upamecano.

The Germany team saw the return of formerly-retired passing specialist, Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos. It included other familiar faces like Arsenal’s Kai Havertz, Barcelona’s Ilkay Gundogan and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.

The opening goal was scored seven seconds into the game, assisted by none other than Toni Kroos. Wirtz rifled in an excellent shot from outside the box.

The second and final goal of the game came four minutes after the second half started, in the 49th minute. Kai Havertz scored, with Jamal Musiala assisting.

France appeared in the last two World Cup finals, ranking second in the world, compared to Germany’s 16th, so France was the favorite going into this game.
