Real Madrid and Bayern reach impasse over Alphonso Davies

Real Madrid and Bayern have maintained their positions on Bayern’s left back Alphonso Davies, with the latter wanting the Canada international to sign a new contract before the end of the season, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano revealed this in a post on X.

Bayern insists that Davies should sign a new contract before June, or he will be placed on the transfer market for sale.

Davies current contract expires in June 2025.

Real Madrid is already interested in the left back, but Bayern is quoting a €60 million fee for the 23-year-old, and the Spanish giant has blatantly refused to pay such a fee of a player in the last year of his contract.

Bayern has given this ultimatum of June 2024 as they refuse to lose him on a free transfer.

Romano also reports that personal terms have already been agreed with Real Madrid, so the transfer fee is the only obstacle standing between Davies and a move to the Spanish capital.
