Governor Siminalayi Fubara has been formally registered as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the party pledging unwavering support for his administration.
The registration ceremony took place on Friday at the Government House in Port Harcourt, led by the APC State Secretary, Eric Nwibani. Tony Okocha, Chairman of the party in Rivers State, presented the governor with his membership card on the directive of the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Describing the assignment as a “holy one,” Okocha congratulated Fubara for his decision to join the ruling party, affirming that the APC in Rivers State would always be at his service. He said he was satisfied with the reasons Fubara provided for the move.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo; members of the APC State Executive Council; former Secretary to the State Government Tammy Danagogo; and other party stakeholders.
Governor Fubara’s formal induction into the APC marks a significant political development in Rivers State as the party reinforces its local presence ahead of upcoming political activities.
