Flick urges Barcelona to pursue Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford in January transfer

On Tuesday, January 14, reports emerged that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has personally recommended that the club move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window.

Rashford, who has struggled for consistent game time under United’s manager Ruben Amorim, has not appeared in the team’s last seven matches across all competitions. According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Flick is keen to add the 27-year-old to his Barcelona squad, viewing Rashford as a versatile asset who can play both as a winger and a striker.

Barcelona will likely face stiff competition for Rashford’s signature, with AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Napoli also reportedly interested in the England international.

Although Rashford has spent his entire career in the Premier League, playing exclusively for Manchester United, the move could mark an exciting new chapter for him outside of England. The forward has previously expressed interest in seeking a fresh challenge in his career, which may make this transfer a real possibility.
