Edo 2024: Ighodalo announces official end to campaign
Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming Edo governorship election, has officially closed his campaign activities in accordance with electoral laws.
In a statement from the Team Asue Media Organisation (TAMO), signed by Erhabor Emokpae, it was announced that all campaign activities ceased as of midnight on September 19.
The statement emphasized, “We would like to inform the general public that the current campaign has been officially concluded. After this time, any publications, advertisements, jingles, or promotional materials related to the campaign have not been authorized by Ighodalo or his team.”
Ighodalo expressed his gratitude to the people of Edo for their strong support throughout the campaign. He urged voters to participate actively on election day, saying, “Please turn out in large numbers, exercise your civic duty, and remain vigilant to protect and defend your votes.”
As he closed this chapter, Ighodalo thanked his supporters for embracing the message of “the pathway to prosperity for all” and encouraged everyone to ensure that their collective will is respected at the polls.
