Davido stays silent on Wizkid’s jabs on social media

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has chosen to ignore the playful jabs aimed at him by fellow artist Wizkid on social media, as their rivalry reignited on Tuesday, October 1.

The situation escalated when Davido teased a snippet of his upcoming single for 2024. It began when Davido’s friend, Kayode Yajaur, also known as Black Tycoone, joked about Wizkid’s delayed album release by tweeting, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already.”

In response, Wizkid took to X (formerly Twitter) to make a cryptic remark, writing, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” followed by, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!” Although he didn’t mention Davido directly, fans quickly interpreted it as a dig at the “Feel” artist.

One fan came to Davido’s defense, suggesting that Wizkid was using the rivalry to gain attention, tweeting, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?”

Wizkid reacted by denying any intention of clout-chasing, while also questioning Davido’s talent. He fired back, “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!”

As of now, Davido has not responded to Wizkid’s remarks and is instead focusing on promoting his other projects across his social media platforms.
