Court of Appeal upholds Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s election victory

The Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, has affirmed the election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, confirming his victory as valid and lawful.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had earlier been declared the rightful winner by the Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
The tribunal had dismissed the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Agboola Ajayi, who challenged the results of the election.
With the latest ruling from the appellate court, Aiyedatiwa’s position as governor stands unchallenged, marking another legal win for the APC in the state.
