Arsenal confirms Marquinhos’ permanent transfer, Barcelona terminates Lenglet’s contract

Arsenal have announced that forward Marquinhos has joined Brazilian club Cruzeiro on a permanent deal.
The North London club shared the news on their website on Sunday.
The 22-year-old, who signed with Mikel Arteta’s side from Sao Paulo in June 2022, made six appearances for Arsenal across all competitions.
During his time with the Gunners, Marquinhos had loan spells at Fluminense, Norwich City, Nantes, and Cruzeiro.
“Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Marquinhos for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future,” Arsenal’s statement read in part.
In a separate development, Barcelona have confirmed the termination of defender Clément Lenglet’s contract.
The Catalan club announced the decision on their website, also extending best wishes to Lenglet for his future.
Lenglet, who joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2018, made 160 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
