Analyst Sumner Sambo describes Obi-Kwankwaso movement as ‘Organic’, encouraging

A public affairs analyst, Sumner Sambo, has described the emerging Obi-Kwankwaso movement as organic and encouraging following its launch by supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Sambo made the remark on Thursday during an interview on Prime Time, a programme on Arise Television, noting that the initiative reflects growing political engagement among citizens.

The movement, driven by supporters of the two politicians, was recently formed without direct involvement from the potential candidates, according to Sambo.

“I’m very happy that these groups of supporters are coming together. This movement is indeed very organic and encouraging,” he said.

He added that the organisers had already begun structuring the movement by appointing coordinators at state, zonal, and national levels.

Sambo also called for transparency in the group’s operations, particularly in its financing, as it continues to mobilise support.

The development comes amid early political alignments and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
