Yul Edochie advises Nigerians to respect P-Square’s decision to split
Controversial actor Yul Edochie has advised the public to respect the decision of renowned Nigerian music duo, P-Square, should they choose to remain apart.
Edochie’s remarks come in response to the ongoing conflict between the twin pop stars.
Rudeboy recently announced that P-Square has once again disbanded, just three years after their reunion.
The group, which includes Rudeboy and his twin brother Mr P, originally parted ways in 2016 but came back together in 2021.
In light of the recent developments, there have been calls from Nigerians, including Peter Obi, for the duo to reconcile.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, August 15, Edochie highlighted that sometimes, achieving peace of mind may require separation rather than forced reconciliation.
He captioned his post, “Being alive and happy is more important than being together.”
“I see people saying, ‘Rudeboy, go and make peace with your brother,’ ‘Mr P, go and make peace with your brother.’ I just laugh. Many still do not understand that sometimes, true peace comes from remaining apart.
“Sometimes, even some family members need to be distanced to maintain peace. Striving to stay close when it’s detrimental can be harmful. Life is fleeting, particularly for men.
“Small things can lead to serious consequences. This is why we have so many widows. One must be deliberate about their own life. If it means blocking certain individuals to achieve peace, then do so without hesitation. Prioritize your own well-being and survival. It’s wonderful to see P-Square together, but if their happiness and well-being are better served apart, so be it. We continue to support and love them regardless.”
