Warri refinery kicks off operations
On Monday, December 30, the Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC), with a capacity to process 125,000 barrels of oil every day, started its operations.
Mele Kyari, the CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), shared the exciting news during a tour of the facility.
This development comes just a month after the Port Harcourt refinery in Rivers State was successfully repaired.
While leading the tour on Monday, Kyari told the team, “This plant is running. Although it is not 100 percent complete, we are still in the process.
“Many people think these things are not real. They think real things are not possible in this country. We want you to see that this is real.”
