Victoria Inyama says circumcision helps her sexual urges

Veteran Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama, has stirred a major conversation online regarding the controversial practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). During a recent Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, the actress described the procedure as the best thing that ever happened to her.
While she admitted that the practice is fundamentally evil, she argued that it has provided her with a unique form of self-control. She believes the procedure has helped her stay away from certain lifestyle choices common in the entertainment industry.
Actress recalls childhood trauma of circumcision
Victoria revisited the painful memory of being circumcised at the age of five while living with her grandmother in the village. She acknowledged the trauma associated with the act but insisted that the long-term consequences have been beneficial for her personal discipline.
“FGM is evil, but that’s the best thing that they did for me because it is helping me a lot,” she stated during the interview. She explained that it gives her the power to say “no” to sexual advances without struggling with intense urges.
Personal discipline and industry reputation
The actress claimed that her lack of intense sexual desire is why nobody has ever spotted her with men in hotels. She credits her upbringing and the procedure for her ability to maintain a clean reputation in Nollywood.
“If I say I no dey do, I no dey do,” she added, emphasizing her firm stance on her sexual boundaries. Her revelation has since sparked mixed reactions from fans, with many debating the health and psychological implications of her claims.
